If Cursor is the iPhone, Windsurf is the very good Android.
Windsurf's Cascade flow nails the agent-in-the-editor pattern with better free-tier limits than Cursor and a noticeably calmer UI. The model choice is wider and the codebase awareness is, in our tests, slightly ahead on large repos.
